Abstract

Lockdowns, public movement restrictions, the prevention of public meetings, and the enforcement of health protocols such as the wearing of face masks and face shields, as well as the routine washing of hands and disinfection, were established as methods for preventing the spread of the disease. Other preventative measures included the use of disinfection and the regular washing of hands. It is possible that the tremendous transformation in the way people function in society is creating issues for everyone, including their way of life, the jobs they have, and the schools they go to. This study utilized a descriptive correlational research approach for its methodology. The findings suggest that, among the perceived academic stress related to academic expectations, item appears to be the least influential as a stressor towards the respondents' academic expectations. Respondents find the complexity of questions to pose a difficulty during the period of examination, and that respondents' major stressors are the fear of failing, being worried about the results of the exams, and even if they pass their exam but are unable to find a job in the future. In light of the findings of the study, it is suggested that programs for mental wellness be developed, and that proactive psychosocial support be offered to the students.
